Whilst it was a case of, from the sun of the Monteblanco circuit in Spain to the damp and cold of Scotland, Scottish GT winners, Scuderia Ecosse, were smiling all the way!
Continuing their pre 2008 season plans, the team recently enjoyed a second highly successful two day Pirelli tyre test session, this time at Monteblanco racing circuit which offered them the opportunity to run their GT2 Ferrari 430 on various Pirelli compounds.
Car 62, in the capable hands of Scuderia Ecosse new faces, Britain’s highly respected Jamie Davies and Italian favourite, Fabio Babini, worked steadily through the day’s schedule and both drivers reported that the car felt ‘great’.
Jamie Davies said;

”Pirelli have been working hard on the 2008 tyres and exciting developments have definitely taken place. The car ran faultlessly and is a joy to drive. In terms of Scuderia Ecosse, I am delighted to be part of such an ambitious and motivated team, and to be paired with Fabio again is a bonus!”
Fabio Babini adds;

“These have been demanding tests so far and I am really pleased with the results. The car and tyres coped extremely well with both the high temperatures at the Spanish circuit and the exact opposite in Scotland.”
Scuderia Ecosse team principle Stewart Roden comments;

“I am greatly encouraged by the considerable progress which Pirelli has made with the tyres that we tested in the differing climates of both Spain and Scotland. Everyone is working very hard and it’s wonderful that the team spirit is so positive.”
