The Le Mans Series (LMS) was established to provide Le Mans-style racing over a series of events; effectively a series of ‘petit’ Le Mans.

The series captures the spirit of the Le Mans 24 Hours and, like the 24hr race, is open to prototypes and GT cars of all descriptions. The series provides a unique blend of cars and characters, fighting for victory through each of the gruelling six-hour races.

The LMS visits five classic European circuits in 2007, with a sixth round, the famous Mille Miglia at Interlagos in Brazil joining the calendar for what promises to be an exciting season finale. This will be the first LMS race outside of Europe and the first to be run to a distance of 1000 miles.
